What we process and why

Legal basis: performance of a contract (providing the service), legitimate interest for operational logs, legal obligation for accounting data; web analytics only on the basis of consent.
This website (ear4ai.com) uses no cookies and no analytics.
Who gets access to the data
- Voice transcription: our own transcription server (a computer in the Czech Republic), and when it is unavailable, the OpenAI service (USA). A user with their own key sends recordings directly to their provider, or transcribes them on the phone.
- AI models: Anthropic, or OpenAI (USA), through their APIs. These services do not use API data to train models and keep it for at most 30 days to detect abuse.
- Hosting: Hetzner Online (Germany).
- Payments: Apple (App Store) and Stripe. Card details never reach us.
- Sign-in: Apple and Google, only if the user chooses them.
- Web analytics: Google Ireland (Google Analytics), only with consent.
Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The My computer mode runs on the user's own computer. Their conversations with Claude Code or Codex do not reach us; we only relay an encrypted connection between the phone and the computer.
Your rights
Users have the right to access their data, have it corrected or erased, restrict processing, data portability and to object. The account and all data can be deleted directly in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by e-mail to the contact above. A complaint can be lodged with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
The service is not intended for people under 16.
Changes
We inform users about material changes to this policy in the app. Effective from [date].
